The fine print, in plain words.

loomi_vid — essential. A random ID set when you send a message or take a quiz on a Loomii link. It lets the person you messaged block you and lets us stop spam and repeat quiz attempts, without anyone learning who you are: we only ever store a keyed hash of it. It is HTTP-only (page scripts cannot read it), sent only to the Loomii site that set it, and expires after 12 months.

_ga and _ga_<ID> — optional, set by Google Analytics only after you tap Allow. They hold a random ID so we can count visits and see which of our pages people use. They expire after 13 months. Google Analytics never runs on profile links (the pages where messages are written) or in our admin area, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and Google Analytics does not store your IP address.

We keep your answer (allowed or not) in your browser's local storage as loomii_analytics, so we don't ask on every visit. You can change it here at any time:

No advertising, social-media or tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, and nothing that follows you onto other sites. Analytics cookies are never set unless you say yes.

The Android app does not use cookies. It keeps one device token in the phone's secure storage so it can recognise your profile. Unless you turn it off in Settings → Privacy & safety, the app sends usage events (which screens you open and which features you use) through our server to Google Analytics under a pseudonymous ID — never message text, your username or your IP address.

You can delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you remove loomi_vid, a new one is set the next time you send a message. Questions: loomii.appsupport@gmail.com.
